Educating the African child

Educating the African Child

It is on a spiritual foundation stated in Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” that Charity-Gospel Missions Africa birthed the Educating the Africa Child Program.

The program was established to mitigate challenges encountered by mostly disadvantaged and vulnerable children in various communities of Uganda and Africa at large. Its main target in establishing this project was to help transform communities through addressing the, social, ethical, emotional and academic needs of students in an integrated learning manner.

In acknowledgement to the Ugandan national average drop out statistics of children as of 2019 the transition from primary level to secondary level of education stood at 44.95%. The statistics showed that the dropout rate was much higher amongst the Girl children, This was mostly due to early or teenage pregnancies, child labour, domestic violence, cultural practices such as child marriages lack of basic and scholastic materials, peer pressure, poor academic performance, teacher pupil relationships, and other school related factors such as poor school structures and non-provision of lunch. It was on such justification that Charity-Gospel Missions Africa established the Educating the African Child Program, so as to help combat the school children dropout rate in Uganda

The feasibility of Charity-Gospel Missions Africa being able to sustain the, Educating the African Child Program has been a combined result of generous donations from our lovely partners, and any other philanthropists who continuously extend support to ensure the prosperity of the disadvantaged and vulnerable African children. Like the African proverb goes: “It takes a whole village to raise a child” We therefore kindly request you to help secure these children’s dreams by joining the village and SPONSOR a child today.
